Durango Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad
Ride one of the most spectacular vintage narrow-gauge trains in North America up the Animas River Gorge to the mining town of Silverton at an elevation of 9,300 feet. In Silverton we'll tour the mining district, and then return by bus or van over the Million Dollar Highway and on to Pagosa Springs. Each train car has restrooms, and a concession car sells refreshments.

Additionally, Penitente Canyon is about an hour and a half outside of town.
