The Springs Resort Joins Forces with Local Businesses for the Ruby Sisson Library Fundraiser

Nestled in the heart of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, The Springs Resort is a proud community-driven organization that is committed to enhancing the well-being of all. As an award-winning hot springs destination, we’re honored to continue giving back to our local community.

One event that highlights our ongoing support for the community is The Library Affair, an annual fundraiser that has become a beloved tradition in Pagosa Springs. The event brings together local businesses, community members, and local ‘celebrities’ to support the Mountains of Opportunity campaign of the Ruby Sisson Library.

The Ruby Sisson Library is a vital resource for the community, serving an average of 6,500 visitors every month. That’s why we’re proud to support the Mountains of Opportunity campaign, which aims to upgrade and expand the library building to provide the latest resources and technology, quiet reading spaces, public meeting places, bright and cheery youth areas, and more. The proposed expansion also includes a 150-seat Library Community Room, a dedicated Children’s Discovery Room, a Teen Hub, private study pods, a collaboration lab, and an outdoor reading garden.

The Library Affair fundraiser encourages local teams to showcase their creativity by curating a dining table experience based on the theme of a book. Decorated tables are then auctioned off, with all proceeds going towards the Mountains of Opportunity campaign. Last year’s event raised over $100,000 for the campaign.

This year, The Springs Resort is thrilled to showcase our community spirit with the “Ollie’s Ski Trip” table, thoughtfully crafted by Breanna Pitcher and Rosanne Pitcher of Wolf Creek Ski Area. “We had an amazing time partnering with local organizations and businesses,” shares Breanna Pitcher.

Breanna and Rosanne have created a unique table experience featuring a variety of local businesses, including Riff Raff Brewing and Doggy Daycare 81147. The table is designed to bring the winter experience to life, complete with festive activities and winter-themed treats. It includes two days of skiing at Wolf Creek Ski Area for six people, VIP hot spring soaking passes, spa treatments from The Spring Resort’s award-winning wellness team, a thoughtfully paired beer-tasting set with a six-pack from Riff Raff Brewing, a grooming and daycare package from Doggy Daycare 81147, and a handmade cake.
